Childhood and joy

Lately, as I have watched the world seeming to fall apart around us, and peace departing from it faster and faster, I have found myself fearing more and more for my children, and for what their futures may be. It has weighed on me.

My Grandma's funeral was today. We had planned to go, but the weather was so bad that we could not go. It was a hard decision, and it made me very sad. She was my last remaining grandparent. It has left me contemplative about life, both past, present, and future.

I was sad, but Matt made it such a wonderful weekend for us. He is so good to us. I am forever grateful for him!

Today, after the peaceful time we have had together, and after listening to Conference together, my heart is lifted, and I know that our children can and will have a very good life, and a very good future. They (and we) have reason to be happy!

I have found my focus shifting from fear for my children, to rejoicing in the little joys of childhood and life.

What did you love about childhood? I love watching my girls be children. :)

Life is good. :)
